7 Effortless Steps to Wear Clip-in Hair Extensions


Ordered your first clip-ins human hair extensions and you are feeling uneasy? Not sure how to wear them to the Ts? Don’t worry you are here at the right place. This is a question I always get from my clients and it is valid to feel this jitter. Read along to find one of the easiest step by step instructions on how to wear your brand new clip in hair extensions and look absolutely flawless:

1. Brush your hair.

As soon as you finish blow drying your hair after a quick wash, start off by brushing your natural hair. Gently brush them with a soft paddle brush to de-tangle your tangled hairs.

2. Section your hair and work on your first 3 wefts.

Use a rat tail comb and divide or part your hair horizontally at the lower section of your head. Make sure to clip your upper sectioned hair tightly. This way you can avoid disturbances when you fit in your clip in human hair extensions. Take out your 3 clip in wefts and brush them gently. After you have opened all the clips, place the first weft right in the middle. Its size should fit in the sectioned hair. Clip in your other two wefts on right and left side. The same clipping procedure is to be followed for other wefts.

3. The 4 clip wefts

Brush your 4 clip wefts to create tangle-free hair.  Section your hair about few inches from your first clipped wefts, just above your ears. Secure your upper sectioned hair again with a hair clip. Clip in your first wefts in the middle and followed by each weft on both sides.

4.  The large 4 wefts

Continue to section your hair just above the second clipped wefts. Brush your largest 4 wefts and get rid of knots. Place the largest two wefts in the middle and two at the sides. Check yourself in the mirror to make sure that your wefts lie flat against your head and there are no gabs in between.

5. 3 more large clip wefts

There is another set of 3 clip wefts that are little larger than the previous one. As usual section your hair below the crown of your head. Once you are done brushing your hair extension, clip one in the middle and remaining wefts to the sides.

6. 2 clip wefts

These 2 clip wefts are to be placed on both sides of your hair. They will add volume to  your side hairs. Part your hairs horizontally on both sides, right above your ears. Clip in your wefts.

7. The final step, 1 clip weft.

Section your hair keeping an inch from your 2 clip wefts on your right and left sides. Clip in your 1 weft on one side and repeat the same step for the other side. Release your natural hair and get ready to brush your hair along with your clip in hair extensions. Use a quality brush and comb your hair gently.

Now you know how to wear your clip in human hair extensions, but all you need to do is get some practice in order to save your time. Wearing clip in hair extension is easy and makes you look wonderful when worn perfectly.
